Hello there icon smile DoctorSimcha.coms Bar Mitzvah Planning Forum

Have you considered "Hollywood Party Theme" ? I went with my daughter to a Bar Mitzvah event with the same theme and I can say that we greatly enjoyed. It is an awesome way to celebrate. You child will feel great on being treated like a star. icon smile DoctorSimcha.coms Bar Mitzvah Planning Forum You can try some of the ideas listed below:-

1. Make invitation cards in the form of movie clapboards and in order to add Mitzvah, you can write Jewish movie names on it. Make it look real by using white paint and all.

2. Make you guests walk on red carpet whenthey enter the party arena.

3. Decorate the party hall with shiny gold and silver party streamers, balloons and gossamer.

4. You can place cut outs of actors admired by your kid.

5. Walls full of hollywood movie posters is another option.

6. You can also decorate by sticking "Walk of fame" stars on the floor. Write your guests' names on those stars.

7. You can play games like Movie Trivia and award Oscar look-alike awards.

Try it. Its really fun!

Hi icon smile DoctorSimcha.coms Bar Mitzvah Planning Forum There are three themes in my head right now.

1. Sports Theme - This can be quite fun. Choose any sport that you son is crazy about and plan everything accordingly. Add games, give away sports balls and trading cards. This is quite a popular theme so you should'nt have any problem with the decoration. Be sure about the sport loved by your kid before going ahead with this theme.

2. Travel Theme - You can make you guests travel places at your party. Turn different spots of the party arena into different countries. Let international music rock your party. People can perform dances of different nations. Also, food from around the world can make it quite inviting. This party theme is not only fun but can also be educative.

3. Retro Theme - Its my favorite! My sister had this theme planned for her son and it was really fun. People of all ages greatly enjoyed at the party. Everybody dressed up according to 70s retro styles. You can search a thrift store for decoration stuff and costumes. A DJ playing music from that era would be awesome.

Tell me if you liked the ideas icon smile DoctorSimcha.coms Bar Mitzvah Planning Forum

There is a lot of open space for creativity. But make sure you make the Bar Mitzvah look like a Bar Mitzvah. Sometimes with all the pomp and show, Jewish culture is lost somewhere. A Bar/ Bat Mitzvah is no ordinary party. Main focus should be on Jewish culture and traditions, and education of the Mitvah boy /girl. So make sure your son/ daughter has proper Jewish education. Also, Mitzvah speeches can add a lot of fun, excitement, and emotions to the ceremony. If you can write your own speeches, great. Otherwise you can hire a speech writer.
